Question to children:
Read Daniel chapter 2, verse 23a, and answer: What did Daniel do when the Lord revealed the king's dream to him?
Answer: He worshiped the God of his parents. “I thank You and praise You, O God of my fathers; You have given me wisdom and might” Daniel 2:23a.
Question to intermediates:
Read Daniel chapter 3, verses 17 and 18a, and answer: What did Daniel and his friends do when they heard about the king's death decree?
Answer: They prayed to God. "Then Daniel went to his house, and told Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah, his companions, that they might seek mercies from the God of heaven concerning this secret." Daniel 2:17,18a.
Question to adolescents:
Read Daniel chapter 2, verse 47, and answer: What did King Nebuchadnezzar do when he saw that Daniel's God had revealed his dream and its interpretation to him?
Answer: He recognized that the God of Daniel was the true God. "The king answered Daniel, and said - Truly your God is the God of gods, the Lord of kings, and a revealer of secrets; since you could reveal this secret." Daniel 2:47.
Question to children:
Read Daniel chapter 3, verse 17, and answer: Who delivered Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego out of the fiery furnace and can deliver us from all evil?
Answer: Our God. "Our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us from your hand, O king." Daniel 3:17.
Question for Intermediates:
Read Daniel chapter 3, verse 25, and answer: What did the king see when he approached the fiery furnace?
Answer: He saw four men loose inside the furnace. Jesus is with us in battles. “Look!” he answered, “I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire; and they are not hurt, and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.” Daniel 3:25.
Question for Adolescents:
Read Daniel chapter 3, verses 17 and 18, and answer: What was the stance of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego toward the king's command?
Answer: They did not bow down or worshiped the king's statue, for they preferred to please God rather than men. "Our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us from your hand, O king. But if not, let it be known to you, O king, that we do not serve your gods, nor will we worship the gold image which you have set up.” Dan 3:17, 18.
